• With over 8500 participants and 348 exhibitors in the recent 2007 SEG International Exposition and 77th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, it was deemed a great success. SES came out in a big way with a new booth and new products were showcased such a the SES DataTaxi and the Mirage Data Recorder. We appreciate all who stopped by to see us.
• In a continued effort to keep pace with the global demand in the seismic industry, SES has again added key positions in Sales, Marketing and Operations. These new positions will allow us to provide the same great service while focusing on major growth opportunities.
• We welcome Perry Johannson, Travis Barker, Danielle Cisco, Tiffany Landers and Vanesa Kreindel to the SES team. Perry joins us as the new VP of Sales and Marketing globally and will be a key influence on Business Development issues.  Travis is our new VP of North American Operations taking on the responsibilities of the Rental Equipment Pool, Repair Department, and Parts Sales. ION FireFly Update

Earlier this year the first prototype FireFly system was used to conduct two very significant field test projects. These test projects were successful on multiple levels:
1. ION demonstrated the viability of their new FireFly wireless recording system and it’s supporting infrastructure.
2. Our oil company partners have indicated that the seismic data collected by the FireFly system during these field tests was superior to legacy data in the same area
3. SES, ION and our other partners were able to operate the system in difficult conditions related to inclement weather and challenging operational environments.
4. This testing activity and input from the test operators helped identify technical and operational issues with the first prototype system that will now be used in development of the next version of the FireFly product.
5.  An effort is now underway at ION to update the software, add features, enhance the robustness of the ground electronics and repair system components that were compromised or damaged during the test operations. The majority of the equipment will be back in SES’s rental pool by the 1st of December 2008.

The success of these first FireFly field deployments was made possible through the cooperation of SES, ION and the committed efforts of BP, and Apache. All parties remain very committed and very excited about the potential for this system in 2008 and beyond. Numerous sources are indicating that demand for 20,000 and 30,000+ station jobs is clearly on the rise channels and FireFly will be uniquely positioned to serve this market in the near future.

New Additions

As global demand for land seismic grows and channel counts increase, SES is responding to meet those needs by continuing to grow our lease fleet. Our major acquisitions over the past year include:

• 5,000 Sercel 408UL FDU1-Single Link LCK2F WPSR 36m. WPSR CABLE (Water Proof Stress Relief)) offers a heavier gauge for better performance.
• 5,000 Sercel 408UL FDU Extension Cables 39m. This will allow our customers the flexibility of using up to 75m intervals or 36m intervals without all of the additional weight.
• 5,000 SM-24 Land Geophones, 6x1 Dual KCK/Kooter takeouts, 6.25m interval. The SM-24 geophone element is designed to offer the highest performance in seismic exploration based upon field-proven ION Sensor technology. Low distortion, combined with excellent specifications, provide high-fidelity data in 2-D and 3-D surveys. The extended bandwidth allows the full potential of 2-ms/24-bit recording systems to be realized.
