GLEN HUSCROFT
Chief Executive Officer
 

Glen Huscroft has served as President and Managing Partner of SES since it’s founding in 2003, most recently assuming the CEO role. Glen brings over 25 years of seismic industry experience to the company. Prior to founding SES, Mr. Huscroft held positions at Input/Output, Inc., Western Geophysical and Shell Canada, working in both technical and sales capacities on a global basis. Throughout his career, Mr. Huscroft has participated in extensive technical and customer service training. Mr. Huscroft graduated with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

TRAVIS BARKER
President – Chief Operating Officer

 
Travis Barker, President and Chief Operating Officer, joined SES in 2007 with over 25 years of exploration industry experience.  Prior to joining SES, Travis served as Regional Manager/Latin America for CGGVeritas. He spent 10 years with Western Geophysical as a Field Service Engineer. Travis has spent the majority of his seismic career in Latin America and has lived in Argentina and Bolivia for several years. After beginning his seismic career upon graduating from DeVry University in 1986, Travis has gained many years of experience working on Seismic Crews and has extensive knowledge of the seismic industry.

RICK LUKE
Chief Financial Officer

 

Rick Luke, Chief Financial Officer, joined SES in 2009 with over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry where he has gained extensive knowledge, expertise and stature within the financial community.  Prior to joining SES, Rick served as Chief Financial Officer of WellDynamics, a joint venture owned by Halliburton and Shell.  Prior to joining WellDynamics, Mr. Luke was with Halliburton, where he served as Vice President of the Europe/Africa Region, based in London, from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that assignment, he worked as Director of Shared Services for Europe and Africa for Halliburton, and held several financial and administrative management positions in Europe, Africa and the United States.  Rick earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

JOSE LUIS MEDINA
Senior Vice President - Technical Solutions

 
Jose Luis Medina, Senior Vice President – Technical Solutions, joined SES in 2004 with strong technical support and field service skills.  With nearly 30 years of experience in the seismic industry, he started his career as an instrument operator/observer in Mexico, and after a year, he was promoted to Field Service Engineer. In 1983, Jose Luis joined Matrix Industries, a company dedicated to repairing and selling mostly Texas Instruments and Input/Output equipment. Between 1987 and 1989, he instructed Acoustics and Seismology at the National Polytechnic Institute. In 1993, he began working as a Field Service Engineer at Input/Output. During his eleven year of tenure with I/O, he was promoted to Senior Field Service Engineer, Customer Service Coordinator and lastly, Field Service Manager.  Jose Luis is a graduate from the National Polytechnic Institute, Higher School of Electrical Engineering in Mexico. PERRY JOHANNSON
Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing

 
Perry Johannson, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, joined SES in 2007 with nearly 25 years of exploration industry experience.  Prior to joining SES, Perry served as Director of Sales, Southern US and Latin America, for the Energy Division of IHS, Inc., the world’s premier provider of energy related databases, engineering software, and consulting services. During his 10 year tenure at IHS, Perry held various sales roles, won numerous awards for his outstanding performance, and was a key advisor on business development and operational issues. Prior to joining IHS, Perry spent seven years as an Acquisition Geophysicist with Western Geophysical. He was responsible for designing 3D seismic surveys, and overseeing the quality control of numerous land and marine seismic crews in Latin America and the Gulf of Mexico. Perry has spent many years in the field working on seismic crews, and has a very strong understanding of the seismic business. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geological Sciences, and has completed extensive leadership, sales management, and sales training. Johannson leads SES' Sales and Marketing efforts globally, and is a key influence on business development issues.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STUART PORTEOUS
Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Marine & Transition Zone

 

Stuart Porteous, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing Marine & Transition Zone, joined SES in early 2010.  Stuart brings over 30 years of marine seismic experience to our company, starting his seismic career with Western Geophysical in 1980 as a marine navigator. During the 80’s and 90’s, Stuart worked in various management positions at WesternGeco / Western Geophysical and NCS International. During this period, he was heavily involved with the development and implementation of new navigation and positioning technologies and managed a wide variety of operations, including conventional 2D, 3D and 4D streamers, as well as ocean bottom cable (OBC) and transition zone (TZ) operations.   Since 2003, Stuart has worked as VP Operations at Harvey Lynch and NCS Subsea, and most recently as a Survey Project Manager for BHP Billiton.  During his 3.5 years at NCS Subsea, Stuart helped fuel the growth of the company from inception to a 50 person operation with revenues exceeding $7M.

JIM CAVENY
Vice President – Technology

 
Jim Caveny, Vice President – Technology, joined SES in 2003 and brings broad technical experience that spans all the way from the field to engineering design.  Jim has 30 years of seismic industry experience, and fifteen of those years with Input/Output (I/O). He held various positions at I/O, including President of I/O Canada, Customer Service Manager of I/O USA, and Product Architect in I/O Land Engineering. Caveny has extensive experience with I/O System Two MRX & RSR instrumentation, along with the latest System Four/Scorpion VectorSeis™ technology available from ION. Jim Caveny

CASEY JORDAN
Vice President - Customer Support

 
Casey Jordan, Vice President – Customer Support, joined SES in 2006 as Manager of Technical Support.  Casey has 30 years of industry experience and brings strong system support experience to SES, beginning his career with Geophysical Service, Inc. (GSI). Casey continued working for GSI until the Halliburton Geophysical merger of GSI and GeoSource; he then became a member of the HGS Customer Service team working with acquisition systems such as MDS-16, MDS-18, MDS-18X and DFS VII. Casey worked with the HGS and Western Geophysical engineering teams developing the Vision and WGLS Western system. After the Input/Output acquisition of Western Geophysical’s products division, he worked with the I/O team to support the I/O System Two domestically and internationally in Saudi Arabia and Russia. Casey is the best Sercel 408 training and support engineer in the industry today. Casey grew up and studied in North Dakota.

RICHARD GILLEY
Vice President - Manufacturing/Building Services

 
Richard Gilley, Vice President – Manufacturing/Building Services, joined SES in 2003 in the capacity of Material Management procurement. Richard has over 35 years of experience in the seismic industry and began his career with Texas Instruments Geophysical Division in 1972.  He subsequently joined the Texas Instruments Field Service Department, eventually assuming the role of Field Service Supervisor in 1981. Mr. Gilley then joined the technical services group at Halliburton Geophysical Services (HGS). He remained at HGS until it was acquired by Western Geophysical and continued until the products division was acquired by Input/Output (I/O). Shortly after joining I/O in 1995, Mr. Gilley was transferred to the Marketing group. Mr. Gilley left I/O in November of 2001, taking a brief Project Manager position at Metrics Instruments in Houston prior to joining SES. Richard Gilley

JAMIE DOZIER
Vice President - Marine Services

 
Jamie Dozier, Vice President – Marine Services, joined SES in 2009 during SES’ acquisition of TransGulf Technologies.  Jamie has over 30 years of industry experience in marine sources, digital streamer lead-in and source umbilical repairs.  Jamie served as President at TransGulf Technologies and managed a team with over 60 years of experience in marine-related operations, manufacturing and repairs, including highly trained and certified field service engineers and technicians to handle high-pressure air filtration systems for air gun sources and back deck design and rigging. He has supervised in-house repairs, world-wide field service and support.

HUMBERTO RIBERA
Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Latin America

 

Humberto Ribera, Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Latin America, joined SES in early 2011 with over 12 years of experience in the seismic industry.   Humberto is assigned with developing new business opportunities in the Latin American region and interacting closely with clients and other team members, helping SES to extend our overall initiatives in the region. Prior to joining SES, Humberto held various positions over a 12 year period within CGGVeritas, including VP of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) - Americas, and worked in Bolivia as an entrepreneur, consultant and architect from 1994 - 1999.   He holds an Executive MBA from Rice University, Masters in Environmental Engineering, and a bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University.
